Shyam Khandekar

Shyam Khandekar is a founding partner and director of Khandekar Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, and is now a company director responsible for BDP Khandekar in the Netherlands and chairman of BDP’s Indian studio.

Shyam has degrees in architecture (IIT, India), urban design (Manchester University, UK) and urban planning (Technical University Delft, The Netherlands). He has more than 30 years professional experience in different parts of the world, including design projects in the Netherlands, Belgium, England, the Middle East and India.

Shyam has lectured extensively around the world at conferences and universities on livable cities.
