The Work

I joined BDP from Elder and Cannon Architects, Glasgow where I’d worked for eight years since university. When I left Elder and Cannon I was Project Architect for St Aloysius Junior School in Glasgow, which subsequently won an RIBA Award.

Achievements to date

The ‘Perth 2000’ design competition, which became Perth Concert Hall - being Project Architect for this job has been my most rewarding experience to date.

This is a building type that has always been of particular interest to me and was a rare opportunity.

Why BDP?

My motivation was to work on larger building projects, to join an organisation with a concern for design quality and a robust working process and to gain the opportunity to develop my career as an architect. Last, but not least, for better financial reward.

BDP has fulfilled all of these aspirations, at least in part!
