First ‘platform’ and cycle bridge built at Fokker Logistics Park

The former Fokker Airplane Factory area at Schiphol Airport is being redeveloped into a logistics park. Besides the masterplan BDP.Khandekar also designed the public realm. High ambitions are set for the quality of the entrance and the edges of the site. Therefore significant eye-catching elements are introduced to form the ‘face’ of the logistics park. These are platforms that jut into the water basin in front of the logistics park. 
The platforms are shaped as overhanging airplane wings and are situated in front of the ‘cockpits’, the office spaces, of the buildings.

Recently the cycle bridge and the first balcony at the entrance have been completed. The two other platforms will follow in due course.
