Background
BDP is a global interdisciplinary practice of architects, designers, engineers and urbanists.
Founded in the UK in 1961, we now have studios across the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, the MENA region, India and China.
Our MENA studios
The Abu Dhabi studio was formed by the 2010 merger of local multidisciplinary practice Syna, which had been practising across the Gulf for 30 years, and BDP, creating a true global player.
Our Abu Dhabi studio opened in order to support the existing projects particularly in the hospitality sector and to win new ones. We now have a growing team of dedicated professionals working on detailed design solutions for projects across most sectors.
We are registered as an International Consultant in Kuwait and in 2012, the Doha studio opened .

We work closely with users, clients and the community to create special places for living, working, shopping, culture and learning. Our expertise covers leisure, commercial, residential, education, retail, transport, and healthcare sectors.

Our MENA team comprises town planners, architects, civil and structural engineers and project managers, and we also have access to the combined expertise of all of BDP's professionals including urbanists, sustainability experts, interior designers, landscape architects, lighting designers and acoustics specialists to deliver a truly integrated way of working — resulting in high quality, effective and inspiring built spaces.
