Head of Birmingham studio Dan Smyth will take part in the Birmingham Development Forum at 12.30pm on Wednesday 7th October at this year’s UK Construction Week exhibition. The forum will outline the unique opportunities facing the UK’s second largest city and the challenges in finding the right balance of uses in its architectural and planning regeneration. It will be facilitated by Michael Hammond, Editor in Chief World Architecture News who will introduce brief presentations from Dan and his fellow speakers Ken Shuttleworth (Make Architects), Sir Albert Bore (Birmingham City Council) and Liz Peace (Curzon Regeneration Company). Each panellist will offer his/her own insight into the future of the city and vision for its growth and development before a general Q&A session allowing all attendees the opportunity to engage with the discussion.
The UK Construction Week brings together stakeholders within the built environment to share knowledge and champion good practice. Over 1,000 exhibitors will be joined at the NEC by an estimated 55,000 industry professionals attending seminars and debates over the course of the week long event.
