Vision London

When: 7th – 8th June
Where: Olympia London, Hammersmith Road, London W14 8UX

Manchester studio’s head of architecture Ged Couser will present the award winning Alder Hey Children’s Hospital at Vision London on Tuesday 7th June.  In his first session at 14.00 he will talk about delivering a design vision for innovation, adopting biophilic design principles and other innovative features for the hospital.  At 15.30 he will then talk about the pre-manufactured innovation on the project with offsite techniques for columns, walls and stairs as well as bathroom pods and fixed furniture.  He will then join other industry experts for a panel discussion and Q&A to ask whether prefabricated and modular construction delivers regular benefits for clients or only works for special cases.

BDP provided architecture, landscape architecture, interior and graphic design for the 274 bed hospital for Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust which opened last year and has already won several awards including an RIBA NW and the RICS NW award for Design and and Innovation and Project of the Year.

Vision London brings together built environment professionals for a wide-ranging programme of educational sessions across five theatres, a series of technology talks, CPD and product presentations sponsored by the RIBA and an exhibition featuring hundreds of cutting edge products.  Free registration is available using the link below.
