Project details

A new academy for 1,200 pupils driven by a project based learning model of curriculum delivery. The Academy features state of the art facilities including purpose built ICT suites, an open-plan art barn with exhibition spaces and new science superlabs.

The design creates a single community under one roof with four learning zones providing sub-communities; each being part of the whole and all equally valued. Keeping to a two storey building has enhanced the togetherness of the whole Academy, and allowed the connection with the external landscape.

The children attending the academy now and in the future have an opportunity to learn in an environment that is one of the most spectacular in the South West, let alone Weston super Mare
