Katja has a wide variety of experience in the UK as a lighting designer.

Katja has a degree in lighting design from the School of Art and Media in  Finland. She also worked there as a lighting designer prior to moving to the UK, and joining BDP in 2006.

Her passion for lighting design stems from her desire to satisfy the relationship between the technical and the artistic and she believes in putting the user at the heart of any design scheme, to help create aesthetically pleasing environments which promote wellbeing.

She has worked on a wide range of interior and exterior projects in the UK and abroad including museums, exhibitions, theatres, historical restorations and retail, corporate and public realm projects.
