The Hampton is located at 101 Roehampton Avenue in the burgeoning Yonge and Eglinton community of midtown Toronto.
Located at 89 – 101 Roehampton Avenue, just northeast of Yonge and Eglinton, The Hampton is a purpose-built multi-residential rental tower that will add much needed rental density to mid-town Toronto. This is a typical densification of land use in mid-town Toronto, but executed in an atypical way. The 38-storey addition will be incorporated into the west side of the existing 19-storey rental tower, with the new building featuring a slight cantilever over the existing to add some drama to the massing.
The project will add 255 new rental units to the neighbourhood, alongside the 128 existing and retrofitted suites that will be retained, bringing the site’s total unit count to 383 ranging from studio to 3-bedroom suites. Residents will have access to amenity spaces located on the ground and fifth floors in addition to space on the southwest corner of the 38th floor that will offer views from the top as well as underground vehicle and bicycle parking.
The tower will feature a mix of patterned white precast concrete panels surrounding punched operable windows, along with red brick on the new podium.
The project has a large public artwork by artist Tony Cragg.
