BDP’s design for a police campus on a 10-hectare site near Bosrijk creates a modern mosaic landscape, using a flexible modular grid to integrate buildings, sports fields, and housing with the surrounding environment.

The police have established a new campus on a 10-hectare vacant plot located on the outskirts of the Bosrijk district. Through thorough research conducted by BDP, the potential of this site was assessed, resulting in a design that emphasises shared facilities and harmony with the surrounding landscape. A modular grid serves as the foundation for this mosaic landscape.
This grid provides flexibility, facilitating the seamless integration of various buildings, spaces, and amenities. Where appropriate, the grid clusters combine to form larger modular tiles, accommodating structures such as buildings, sports fields, training facilities, and housing.
The historic Kempen landscape of the area has been reimagined into a modern mosaic landscape characterized by structure, rhythm, and organization.
