Chris is an architect director in the Manchester studio with a specialism in the healthcare and science and technology sectors.
He joined BDP in 2015 and became Design Team Leader for the 27,800 Sqm Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool completed in 2020 and the 26,600 sqm Patterson Replacement Project at the Christie hospital due to be completed by the end of 2022.
Through these large complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, he has facilitated collaboration and engagement between all project team members at all stages of the project reinforcing his belief that this is key to successful delivery of projects.
More recently, Chris has been involved in early engagement, supporting the development of the brief on a number of the New Hospital Programme projects within the Manchester studio. Working with multiple healthcare Trusts with differing estate and site requirements he has used expertise from previous schemes to efficiencies within the early stages of the design process.
Chris embraces the future challenges of having to deliver unique and innovative design solutions for clients whilst offering flexibility in use. All this needs to be underpinned by efficient design solutions which are key to meeting sustainable design, BIM & MMC criteria and net zero carbon targets.
