Nicola is a Design Management Profession Director whose specialist field of expertise lies in the commercial planning and management of complex, large scale multidisciplinary projects.

Her work includes Hospitals, Data Centres, Laboratories, Education, Workplace, Historic, Mixed-Use Developments and high profile listed government buildings. Many of Nicola’s projects have been associated with longstanding clients of BDP or Frameworks, where building successful client relationships is essential. She engages with the project and client teams throughout the project to distil the risks to create and facilitate innovative strategies to secure the best possible outcomes for projects, with respect to scope, cost and time.

Nicola also leads the Design Management Profession in the London studio. The Design Management team is comprised of 30+ individuals from a wide range of professional backgrounds and specialisms who are key to the delivery of a wide range of high-profile projects across all sectors from bid stage through to practical completion.

Palace of Westminster Restoration and Renewal

BDP was awarded a full interdisciplinary contract for client advisory services to help ensure the safe and secure future of the Grade I listed Palace of Westminster.

A central hub of labs forms the focal point for the centre, to encourage collaborative working across the organisation and with partners within the Cambridge Life Sciences cluster through an open design and campus environment.

Teaching, Trauma and Tertiary Care Centre (3Ts)

Two new state-of-the-art hospital buildings will bring Elderly Care, General Medicine, HIV and Clinical Infection wards up to modern standards, and establish the hospital as the Major Trauma Centre for the region. The new build will include 361 beds, 65% of which will be in single en-suite rooms, a helipad and additional parking spaces underground.
