Steve has extensive experience as a building services engineer specialising in complex laboratory and healthcare projects and leads these sectors in the London studio.

He takes overall responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical and electrical services designs and for integrating the engineering specialisms of lighting, acoustics, sustainability and infrastructure into the process. He is committed to integrating innovative sustainable engineering solutions with the architecture and structure teams to produce passive low energy designs.

Steve was an engineering director on AstraZeneca’s new global R&D centre and corporate headquarters, a major project involving the relocation of the research centre from its former site at Alderley Park to the new Cambridge bio-medical campus site. Aiming for BREEAM Excellent, the research building will be supported by an energy centre incorporating a number of low energy solutions including an extensive ground source heat pump system.
