October marks Black History Month, the annual celebration of the history, culture, achievements and contributions of black and brown people in the UK and Ireland.
Dr Anne Marie Imafidon MBE joined us as a guest speaker for our live Black History Month event yesterday, to discuss ‘Belonging, Diversity, Progress’ in the context of her own personal journey, intersectionality, why BDP would benefit from true diversity, and how to unlock the benefits of belonging through equitable practice.
Anne-Marie is a keynote speaker, presenter and co-founder of the award-winning social enterprise, Stemettes. Voted the most influential woman in tech in the UK of 2020 by Computer Weekly and featured among the top 10 BAME leaders in tech by the Financial Times and Inclusive Boards, she was also the recipient of the prestigious Barclays UK 'Woman of the Year' award in 2018.
