PwC Manchester wins Workplace Award

PwC Manchester has won the Fit Out of Workplace Award at the regional British Council for Offices (BCO) Awards which recognise high quality design and functionality, providing a benchmark for excellence in workplaces.

BDP designed the project which is part of a wider framework of delivering new offices for relocation and refurbishing existing ones for PwC throughout the UK. The Manchester office takes inspiration from the site's industrial heritage and captures the identity of the city. The judges knew that this project was something special from the moment they entered, saying it brings together the very best of practices with the very best of spaces. They also said it is a magnificent experience for visitors and staff, and a blueprint for the future.

Cambridge Assessment Headquarters, for which we provided interior design, won a Corporate Workplace Award and the judges acknowledged that the office has been a catalyst for creating a new brand, culture and significant business growth, supporting employees’ mental health through its intelligent use of uplifting artwork, daylight, natural ventilation and views of the city.

Both projects are now up for BCO national awards which take place on 1 October at London's Grosvenor House.
