Giving Something Back

2021 marks the 60th anniversary of a seminal meeting between our founder, George Grenfell Baines, and his partners at Bryn Mor in Anglesey, when Building Design Partnership first came into existence. His long cherished ambition was to establish the world’s first interdisciplinary practice with a strong sense of social purpose.

As designers we have a responsibility to create a sustainable and inclusive society where every person feels a sense of belonging and connection to their environment. So, as part of our anniversary celebrations we have launched Giving Back Together, a volunteering programme which offers our employees the opportunity to create social value on a more personal level, through volunteering.

The programme includes online volunteering activities with charities across the globe, which support local communities socially, economically and environmentally. Whether it’s helping other businesses with their post Covid-recovery, assisting vulnerable groups, promoting health and well-being or helping to keep our environment green - we are encouraging our employees to feel inspired and support these worthy causes!
