BDP Birmingham team wins big at the Insider West Midlands Property Awards 2023

“Proud” is an understatement for this team, who last night took home the coveted “Architectural Practice of the Year” award at the Insider West Midlands Property Awards 2023.

Recognised for their outstanding work across all sectors, and the benefits they have brought to the Midlands area, the judges were particularly impressed with the high-quality and diversity of their projects, including the UK's first carbon-neutral bus station, a hospital emergency department, a new HQ for the BBC, as well as multiple residential projects, and speciality labs across Birmingham, Nottingham and London. 

Principal and Head of the Birmingham studio, Dan Smyth commented, “Last year, we celebrated our 15th anniversary in Birmingham. In this time, the team has grown rapidly, welcoming a further 10 members this year, and expanding our profession reach to interior design, and civil and structural engineering. I am very proud of what we have accomplished this year – the creativity and high-quality of our designs. This award only fuels our talented Birmingham team to continue to push boundaries in designing excellent places for people."
