Nippon Koei and BDP, group companies of ID&E Holdings recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Lviv, Ukraine.
The purpose of the MOU is to build upon the existing agreement signed by Nippon Koei and the City of Lviv on 27 October 2023. The new MOU aims to promote cooperation on the areas of transportation, healthcare and urban regeneration, specifically focusing on rail, TOD (Transit Oriented Development), and hospital construction projects. Additionally, the MOU is designed to strengthen UK involvement in these initiatives.
The signing took place during the Ukraine-Japan Public-Private Round Table in Berlin on 10 June 2024. The event, hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan External Trade Organization, and the Embassy of Japan in Berlin, was attended in person and virtually by senior members of the Japanese Government, including Prime Minister Kishida, and the First Deputy Prime Minister Sviridenko of Ukraine.
