Glasgow Queen Street Station

Glasgow Queen Street Station has been redeveloped to cater for longer, greener trains and increased passenger footfall. We have removed buildings that previously hid the station from view and have created a more spacious and accessible concourse.

This dramatic refurbishment of Manchester’s Victoria railway station has centred around the removal of a series of trainshed roofs which have been replaced with a 15,000 sqm ETFE-clad column free structure.

Leicester St Margaret’s bus station

BDP designed the UK's first carbon-neutral bus station. The building retained significant amounts of the superstructure allowing it to be wrapped in a modern, sustainable envelope. The design includes LED lighting, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, air source heat pumps, and 750 square metres of solar panels.
