Project details

A transformative redesign and CAT B fit out of the Blackfriars Road office in London for Latimer Developments by Clarion Housing Group breathes new life into a commercial space spanning 528 sqm to allure potential new tenants. With a commitment to sustainability and occupant wellbeing, our approach delicately balanced health, safety, and environmental consciousness.

We meticulously repurposed existing materials and fittings, embracing the circular economy in all areas of the project. Every selection was scrutinised for its low carbon impact, with Rype Office contributing remanufactured furniture from high-quality, high-profile London offices. In total, 66% of the furniture underwent remanufacturing, integrating recycled fabrics to bring them back to life. This sustainable approach diverted 5,700 kgCO2e of greenhouse gas emissions and repurposed 2,400 kg of waste. The remaining 34% of newly sourced furniture was deliberately selected from UK manufacturers for durability in use in multiple lifecycles.

The new office unit stands as a beacon of sustainable design, where every decision reflects our dedication to reaching net zero carbon goals and reducing our impact on the environment.
