Project details

The Faith Schools’ Joint Campus is the first shared Jewish and Catholic faith campus of its kind bringing together two purpose built denominational primary schools with associated pre-5 nursery. Each school has separate teaching blocks but shares an innovative hub space, playground, library, sports, science and technology departments.

During the design stages we held consultations with pupils, staff, parents, council representatives, education and faith leaders to understand the concerns of challenging convention and to establish a shared vision.

The building has an overcoat of weathered zinc, glass, western red cedar and copper coloured portals, whilst the white interiors are bathed in natural light with selective use of glass and timber. The project also takes inspiration from its urban edge site and has views to the countryside.
