The BDP designed, London headquarters for software developer Metaswitch, a Microsoft company, has officially been completed.
Architects from our Birmingham studio designed the 55,800 sq ft, BREEAM Excellent rated building in the London borough of Enfield.
It provides a five-storey modern workspace for cutting edge software development including a rooftop conference centre, full-height atrium, collaboration workspaces, quiet rooms and a basement car park with charging points for electric cars and bicycles. The office, which will serve up to 500 people, is designed with energy-saving measures that will help Metaswitch meet its environmental sustainability targets.
“Metaswitch is a valued, long-time employer providing highly skilled jobs in the Borough of Enfield. We are delighted the company decided to remain and expand in Enfield as a vital contributor to our community and build its new global headquarters in our town centre. This development complements the Council’s support for employment at a challenging time for our town centres and the local economy.”
Councillor Nesil Caliskan Leader of Enfield Council
Metaswitch’s new HQ in Enfield is a world-class workplace, designed to encourage collaboration and to reflect the modern standards of office design in London. The building exudes innovation and teamwork - from the vibrant façade to the multi-storey atrium through to the open-plan workspace and flexible amenity areas. We are very proud of the building and are delighted to be able to bring this vision for a state-of-the-art workplace to life
