Facts

Location Client Cost Completion
York, UK University of York £16m Aug 2010

Project details

The Schools of Law and Management are in one of four academic buildings forming part of the Heslington East campus at the University of York. This houses teaching and office accommodation within two distinct three storey wings separated by a central atrium.

Inside this space are the two main lecture theatres which are designed as freestanding areas at either end. The atrium widens as it rises through the building providing a dynamic bright and airy space which maximises the amount of natural daylight in the building and facilitates natural ventilation.

The Schools sit on one of the main pedestrian lines running diagonally across the site and linking the college accommodation to the north with the academic buildings to the south.
