The refurbishment of Manchester’s Victoria railway station focused on replacing the existing trainshed roofs with a 15,000 sqm ETFE-clad column-free structure. The project also introduced mezzanine floors to house station facilities and improve connectivity, enhancing both functionality and passenger experience.

As part of the upgrade, the original Grade II-listed Edwardian frontage was rearranged and restored, reinforcing the station’s identity as a key low-carbon transport hub. The redevelopment has strengthened links between northern cities and established a strong foundation for future transport improvements.
