BDP master planned Heatherwood's 40-acre estate, to provide a state-of-the-art hospital that embodies the essence of 21st-century healthcare. The design includes an administrative and general practitioner hub and a thoughtfully integrated residential development. Throughout the development process, careful consideration was taken to minimise disruption and maximise the quality of care provided.
The redevelopment of the hospital encompasses new, purpose-built structures spanning 11,065m2. The building includes a grand main entrance, and outpatient department featuring advanced medical imaging technologies such as CT scanners, MRI machines, ultrasound equipment, and plain film X-ray facilities. Supporting amenities are conveniently located on the ground floor. While on the first floor, five-day surgery theatres are seamlessly integrated with their respective support facilities, ensuring efficient and streamlined operations. The second-floor houses two 24-bed wards, with an impressive 80% of the rooms designed as single occupancy promoting patient privacy and comfort.
