Project details

The site for this design comprises nearly 16 hectares and is located on the edge of the city of Tongeren in Belgium. On this gently sloping site, with its own water source, a new recreational park is to be located. In the design care has been taken to incorporate as many existing landscape elements (like trees) as possible. The project involves the creation of four areas, each with its own theme and specific atmosphere. Landscaping is used to differentiate the areas into four distinctly different places. This is the competition-winning design which we submitted together with our clients Strabag to the city of Tongeren in Belgium.
