Christine Davis is an Architect Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC). Christine’s passion for the restoration, conservation and adaptive re-use of historic places stems from her work with historic buildings since 2002. She has been involved in works to a wide range of building types from Renaissance to twentieth century. Christine strives to address the client's aspirations and brief by developing innovative and high quality design solutions which are appropriate to the heritage context. This is achieved by close liaison with the client, regulatory bodies and stakeholder groups to address heritage matters and through the preparation of justification statements and reports.
Christine has been involved with numerous successful Heritage Lottery Fund bids to revive redundant buildings into new viable uses. Her knowledge and understanding of historic buildings enables her to make careful assessment of impact on their significance and heritage values.
As part of her work, she has gained widespread experience in building condition surveying and in collaborative working with specialists in historic buildings in structural engineering, timber preservation, stone masonry, lime plaster, roofing and metalwork.
