Lucy joined BDP in 2013 as a sustainability consultant and is now head of BDP’s sustainability team across the practice.
Lucy uses her experience in multi-disciplinary working to encourage and promote BDP’s lead in sustainable design, construction, and management. Her role involves providing specialist consultancy to professions in BDP and externally to other architects, engineers and clients. Lucy is a qualified BREEAM assessor in public and commercial schemes as well as refurbishment and fit-out schemes, and is a WELL AP, signifying advance knowledge of health and wellbeing in the built environment.
She has performed BREEAM assessor duties for a wide range of sectors including schools, higher education buildings, offices, healthcare, multi-residential accommodation, and retail and bespoke multifunction buildings. This project experience has equipped Lucy with a broad local and international knowledge of environmental design and standards. Lucy has been part of the project teams that have achieved BREEAM Outstanding ratings including the Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia and PwC’s 7 More London development. Lucy also works across BDPs net zero carbon and post-occupancy evaluation workstreams.
