Mihalis has been with BDP since 2007. During this time he has worked on a large number of projects, covering a variety of sectors which include school and higher education, healthcare, workplace, masterplanning and energy.

His experience extends across the full spectrum of the design process, from briefing and initial concept design to project delivery and on site completion. It covers team leadership and liaison and coordination with a number of parties including clients, users, local authority bodies, consultants and contractors. Mihalis was the Lead Concept Architect on Blackburn Meadows Biomass, a 30MW plant in Tinsley, Sheffield converting waste wood to heat and power. The project has won a number of prestigious awards including a 2017 RIBA National Award, 2016 RICS Yorkshire & Humber Awards (Infrastructure award and Project of the year), and a 2016 Sheffield Design Awards (Best Building). More recently Mihalis has been involved in the masterplan for Yorkshire Energy Park, a Business Park with Data Centre, Education and Training Facilities, and 49MW energy production infrastructure located between Hull and Hedon.
