In line with the UAE-France strategic partnership and as part of the Ghadan 21 accelerator programme, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) collaborated with 42 to launch the new ground-breaking coding school, the first of its kind in the GCC.
By making coding education accessible to everybody, the school contributes to the city’s vision of a tech-enabled future, in which it plays a prominent role in solving global challenges.
Our award winning design is a mix of comfortable learning areas and connected technology workspaces in an industrial warehouse environment, and an ideal place for students to think critically, work in groups and create. Peer learning is at the heart of the design, with learning spaces clustered in the centre of the school, surrounded by casual meeting spaces that stimulate creative interaction between the students.
The campus, which is formed from the intelligent repurposing of three former milk warehouses, is a subtle adaptation of the 42 guidelines, adjusting them to the context of Abu Dhabi and its creative district location, while ensuring the ethos and fundamentals of the 42 brand shine through.
