With a vision to create an oasis in the desert, the Bateen Liwa Resort allows everyone to experience the natural beauty and scale of the Liwa Desert, and the associated cultural assets that ties the heritage of Emirati people to the desert and its' ecosystem.
We have embraced these principles with a design response that feels rustic, organic, and of the place and time from which it emerges. The scheme carefully considers the arrival experience key views, comfort and convenience of the guests, as well as the facility management.
The design emphasises continuity of exterior and interior space, with materials and views flowing smoothly between the two. The fort-like exterior mirrors the traditional Bedouin forts of days gone by.
