The Bio-Therapeutics Hub for Innovation (BioHub) will provide a physical hub for the life sciences sector in the region, offering the opportunity for knowledge transfer and growth through co-location and the provision of sector leading facilities.
Located at Foresterhill Health Campus in Aberdeen, ONE Biohub contributes to the continuing diversification and transformation of north east Scotland’s economy by providing a new home for the high-growth Life Sciences sector.
A collaborative atrium and specialist labs provide an innovative place to support bio-entrepreneurs commercialising next generation solutions. The ONE BioHub on Aberdeen's Foresterhill Health Campus will provide the support programmes and physical infrastructure to grow businesses, nurture new commercialisation opportunities and connect academics and health researchers to industry.
It will be the nucleus of the life sciences cluster in the north east of Scotland. ONE BioHub secured capital funding from the UK Government and Scottish Government through the Aberdeen City Region Deal, a partnership between both governments, Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council and Opportunity North East (ONE). The partners for ONE BioHub are ONE, the University of Aberdeen and NHS Grampian, and the Aberdeen City Region Deal. A new company, BioAberdeen Limited, was created to deliver the capital project.
