Line 5 North consists of nine underground stations crossing the centre of the city in an east-west direction, connecting some of the most important places in the history and future of the city, including the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, the CBD at Gulshan and sites such as Gabtoli.

Our designs for the Metro Line 5 North Stations embrace this exciting context to create landmark stations that stimulate transit oriented developments.

In collaboration with Nippon Koei, our multidisciplinary team combines global transport expertise with local and regional knowledge, to ensure a cultural and climatic fit for a city as vast and intricate as Dhaka.

Making a city move

"Dhaka’s new infrastructure, including the emerging metro network, looks towards the bright future of the country and its people, and our design concepts respect the traditional values and distinct characteristics of Dhakaite culture, supporting the localism and micro-business networks that contribute positively to the life and animation of the city."

Peter Jenkins, Architect Director and Head of Transport, BDP.
