As part of Manchester College's plan to reduce its 14 locations down to 5, the new City Centre Campus is one of the first projects released from the masterplan.
As part of Manchester College's plan to reduce its 14 locations down to 5, the new City Centre Campus is one of the first projects released from the masterplan. The facility accommodates media, performing arts, digital and creative curriculum and is part of the college's ambition to create Centres of Excellence for higher and further education students. It also contains a number of acoustically sensitive rooms, such as recording studios.
The new City Centre Campus is designed to BREEAM Excellent standards. The energy strategy has been developed to meet the college and the city councils’ requirements, including and EPC A rating and the provision of onsite renewable energy.
To ensure the successful delivery of the BREEAM and sustainability strategies, our sustainability consultants worked closely with the client and project team to ensure all targets were embedded within the design, construction and operation of the building.
