Designed as a beacon for the local community the project is the centre piece of the new Mulberry Park Residential Development on the former Fox hill MoD site in the world heritage city of Bath.

The project combines a 210 role primary school, nursery and range of community facilities including a café, fitness suite, multi-functional spaces and enterprise space. Health facilities located in a more private location on the first floor directly adjacent to a break out space allows a variety of outreach health services to be provided.

The brief and design was developed with local community groups and fronts a new public square at the heart of the development. The striking cantilevered forms of the building takes inspiration from the Mulberry Harbours that were used during the second world war.

The selected brick reflects the tone and texture of Bath stone that define the character of the area. Copper alloy cladding has been used to highlight the beacon elements of the building.
