As airport development consultants, we created the ‘Urban Design Guidelines’ for Noida International Airport (NIA), a project covering 1,350 hectares around and between terminal buildings.

Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International, appointed BDP as their airport development consultant to create urban development guidelines for the airport neighbourhood surrounding Noida International Airport (NIA). Alongside this, we are developing a comprehensive landscape masterplan for the 1,334-hectare site, which is envisioned as a green campus.
Our collaboration with YIAPL aims to integrate their sustainability goals with our expertise in creating functional, sustainable spaces. The project is designed to establish a world-class, efficient airport that sets a global benchmark for sustainable infrastructure. The neighbourhood development guidelines and landscape concept will serve as a toolkit for future concessionaires, ensuring that the vision for NIA is upheld through every phase of its development.
Additionally, our multidisciplinary team is working on the design for the NIA visitor centre. Spanning 3,000 sq. ft., this space will offer both indoor and outdoor areas for delegates and stakeholders. It will include project information displays, meeting spaces, and event facilities, as well as a virtual tour of NIA, enhancing the overall visitor experience and engagement with the airport’s future.

“Combining YIAPL’s ambitions for a greener, healthier airport with our experience in developing sustainable, functional spaces in India, we are creating an important transport hub that supports and inspires visitors and businesses alike.
Noida International Airport will be like no other airport in the region. It will be a high quality, efficient and modern airport that will act as a benchmark for sustainable infrastructure and operations across the world."
