The inspiration for this project is reflected at the base of the VIDENA Athletic Stadium and the Bowling Centre, as well as in the light fabric roof of the Athletic Stadium and metal façade of the Bowling Centre.

The epic proportions of Lima’s iconic Huaca pyramids, and the fine detail of Peruvian colourful textiles are the primary inspiration for the design of VIDENA’s Athletic Stadium and athlete accommodation. BSP performed extensive CFD analyses in order to innovate an aerodynamic control of the track’s home-straight.
This will enable national athletes to improve their qualifying times for future international events. The Athletic Stadium is an example of an existing arena that is being redeveloped with a radically-improved, unbroken bowl design. This will amplify acoustic qualities to heighten the Games atmosphere for both spectators and athletes.
