Dartmoor National Park Authority, working with Teignbridge District Council has commissioned BDP to produce an exciting masterplan for the Chuley Road site in Ashburton, south Devon. BDP was chosen for its unrivalled experience and expertise in delivering successful masterplans and engaging with local communities.
The masterplan will guide the regeneration of the Chuley Road site, identified in the National Park Authority’s Development Plan for mixed use redevelopment, placing local people and its rich history at the heart of the plans. Working with the local community will be integral to the process to ensure that the masterplan reflects local aspirations.
John Nutley, Member of Dartmoor National Park Authority and Ashburton Town Councillor, says the appointment marks an exciting opportunity for Ashburton: “This is a fantastic opportunity to explore Chuley Road’s potential for positive change in the town. Now more than ever is the time to prepare a masterplan guided by local people to bring forward development that maximises community benefits for this site. I would strongly encourage local people to get involved”.
The final masterplan will be ready by the end of 2013 and will guide future development on the Chuley Road site, providing a comprehensive framework for redevelopment and future planning applications.
