Project details

Our proposed design solution for this government housing scheme builds upon the strategic urban design framework established by UPC’s masterplan, and seeks to achieve a rich and varied urban form which will lead to the development of distinctive and identifiable neighbourhoods.

We sought to maximise the potential for modern, prefabricated construction techniques to be employed across the development for improved and consistent quality. The design ethos references the coast and the desert as the two distinct architectural themes, and uses them to create character and establish distinctive and identifiable neighbourhoods. The shceme also draws inspiration from the landscape, architecture, and urban fabric of the region.
