Jonathan is an architect associate director with a broad range of experience in the workplace, education and commercial sectors.
Jonathan has worked in our Dublin and London studios and is creative and passionate about design and the quality of the built environment in both new build and the conservation of our existing heritage. He has extensive experience across various sectors including workplace, residential, healthcare and education and has coordinated teams in designing and detailing a range of high quality and innovative projects. His projects include Bonham Quay Office Development and the National Children’s Hospital of Ireland along with award winning completed schemes such as the Creative Arts Building for City College Norwich. He has recently led a team submitting a planning application for the masterplan development of an 8 acre site to the south of Ceannt Station in Galway city centre. This project offers the opportunity for an exciting expansion of the city through masterplan-led design to create a new mixed use urban community, with a series of new streets and public spaces defined by contemporary buildings to bring new life and activity to this underutilised part of the city. The development provides a well-connected, permeable and fully accessible urban streetscape that provides an enhanced setting for the proposed conservation of the former train shed and stables buildings which are reimagined for retail and leisure. Using the latest thinking in urban development, Augustine Hill emphasises a mixed-use approach encompassing residential, cultural, retail, transport and landscape.
